Last month, the inauguration of the «Arts&Science» Festival took place at the University of Vienna. Klänge der Materie, the science communication program organised by the Faculty of Physics was there to kick off a festival that will last until autumn. The finalists of the «Sounds of Matter» composition competition presented their pieces and a multidisciplinary jury composed by physicists and composers awarded the Prizes in a festive ceremony, full of music and science.
Here are some of the impressions of the «Sounds of Matter» final concert:

I would like to thank everybody who helped make this event memorable and special. From the great moderation (Bernhard Weingartner) to the fantastic Veranstaltungsmanagement of the University of Vienna (Veronika Schweigl), through the invaluable collaboration of all researchers, composers, jurors, technicians and University staff. It is worth mentioning that, without Christiane Losert-Valiente Kroon and Tobias Reckling, this project would not have been possible.
See you all soon,
Adrián Artacho
